Creative Direction Meets Product Thinking

At ClickUp, I served as Creative Director during a period of high growth and constant motion. My role spanned product and brand, overseeing everything from OTT advertising campaigns and motion team staffing to hands-on design across the platform itself. I led a globally distributed team including designers in Kyiv while helping to roadmap design sprints, build scalable workflows, and translate analytics into effective ad strategies.

Beyond product and marketing, I worked closely with the in-house studio team on concept development for video campaigns, often serving as both writer and creative lead on commercial shoots. It was a fast-moving, high-pressure environment, and while my time there was relatively brief, it sharpened my leadership in startup dynamics, agile team building, and creative systems under tight timelines.

 

Our work caught the attention of AdWeek, AdAge, Forbes, and The Drum — and somewhere along the way, someone even called it “the best marketing in SaaS.” I’ll take it.
